Listen and be set free by the Word of God - His love letter to each and every onoe of us! Oh, how He loves YOU!!!
The Pilgram's Mass at Santiago de Compostela, a gorgeous Catholic church in Spain - the mass they do for the pilgrams who have walked 700 miles to get there! Sooo beautiful, so heartwarming, so soul-satisfying! One of the most special church services I have ever attended. So many young people walking the last almost 20 miles to get there for the mass and kneeling on the floor praising God. We had walked the final 18 miles the day before to get there. Incidentally, it was special and I agreed with alot he said, but absolutely disagree with praying to St. James or any other saint. We are to pray to Jesus alone (or God, the Father, and the Holy Spirit), but never to a mere man or woman. Mary was chosen, just as we are all chosen, to fulfill the specific purpose God calls us to. So if you listen to the sermon, know I do not agree with everything he says.
BBC documentary done in Ireland showing the absolute evil of the Catholic Church and it's heinous, diabolical coverup. All these priests should be in prison and castrated for life for 1000s of Irish kids they abused - many who killed themselves. Pure evil that they used their power to rape kids daily in every town. They used power and evil just as Hitler did, and ruined 1000s and 1000s of lives and then covered it up because of power and greed. Literally makes me soooo sick and so angry. Those poor souls. This is where the command to "love your enemy" is just totally impossible for me, I have to be honest. If you haven't watched the recent movie, Spotlight, I highly recommend it. But this BBC documentary is excellent because it talks with the victims. The boys were all 10, 11, 12 years of age and these priests stole their life and raped them repeatedly for years. Ugh!!!! God, why do you allow this??? I know the answer, but sometimes it is just so hard to grasp the evil that freewill allows.
"Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life."
Prayer of St. Francis of Assissi
"I am just a pencil, an instrument in the hand of God." - Mother Teresa
One of the most Godly persons who has ever lived. Her service to the poor and her love for those the world called unlovable, was beyond humbling & convicting.
One of the best interviews with her I have seen.
Let's discuss in the comments - crazy? truth? somewhere in between?
